Advertising Sales Internship

FierceMarkets, a division of Questex, LLC, is a DC-based leader in digital, B2B publishing, is seeking an Ad Sales intern for the 2017 Fall semester.  The position is designed to give support to Fierce’s Ad Sales and Operations teams, while also providing varied and hands-on exposure to the in’s and out’s of digital publishing, advertising and sales.  (www.fiercemarkets.com/about_us)

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Interest in learning about the industry of Advertising Sales
  • Positive attitude & strong work ethic
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize projects, with great attention to detail
  • Command of Microsoft Office programs (Word, basic Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A fierce, fun, collaborative attitude

Common duties will include:

  • Gathering and reporting data from ad campaigns, identifying new sales prospects for follow-up by the sales team, helping the sales and events teams prepare for major trade shows
  • Aid in the creation of marketing materials: client proposals, sell-sheets and PowerPoint presentations
  • Independently take on projects like our annual client gift
  • (The position does not require being directly involved in sales.)

Compensation & Hours:

  • 12-18 hours/wk during the school year (ideally in the office 2-3 days/wk)
  • $12.50/hour starting wage
